RODNEY STRONG ALEXANDER VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004

Another one of the great Alexander Valley wines..Rodney Strong has produced a great wine with smooth mouth feel and a great berry and plum finish.. It has a oak barrel flavor which is evident and is a great mouthful of wine! It runs around 20.00 a bottle I was lucky enough to receive a 2004 from my husband for Valentines Day!

KOONUNGA HILL MERLOT

Koonunga Hill is a Penfolds wine from South Australia. It has a plum and cherry flavor with a slight cedar oak undercurrent. It is a quite drinkable wine with normal merlot overtones. It runs about 14.00 a bottle

NERO D' AVOLA

Nero d Avola is an Italian made wine from D'Aquino vineyards in Italy. It was inexpensive and easily available. It had a spicy berry flavor with a jammy finish..it was not overwhelmingly good. It was under ten dollars.

Stump Jump

This is an easy drinking Red table wine..good for almost any night..with almost anything..Very reasonable in price and availabilty..D’Arenberg's reds begin with the 2007 The Stump Jump Red, a Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre blend which was whole berry fermented. Fragrant and fruity, it has plenty of crisp, crunchy fruit, ripe flavors, and a lengthy close. Not bad for a under 10 buck drink!
