Petit Petit Sirah

This is a lovely wine from Lodi, CA. A darling label with Elephants and a Circus theme. Its from Michael-David Vineyards. A rich vanilla and dark fruit taste with a hint of chocolate and a little smokey clove at the end. Beautiful Color and Gorgeous Legs!! Nice price 18.99 at my wine store..Highly Recommended!!

Redwood Creek Pinot Noir 2006

This is a great Smooth and Bright Pinot Noir.a division of Frei Brothers Wine...easy on the tongue..rolls down your throat (especially if your on a pontoon in the middle of a Hurricane, with the boat rolling back and forth) It has bright Raspberry and Cherry notes...but not too fruity that you couldnt enjoy it with a steak..Very Very good choice...

Oh my god Recess Red

Take a pan heat up a little organic sugar add blackberries.

Then, add Strawberry, Buckwheat Honey..and mix. Syrupy as a good Guatemalan coffee, finishes so clean and crisp. This one is all about texture.
Priced $$.

Carmenere

Wow: Carmenere the new IN. Great price should be under $14. Smooth as silk, but perfect with a dry gruyere ( Comte). Berries, Jasmine, silky texture, hit the front. Dark chocolate hits that end. Try all Carmeneres...excellent wines.

Crisp, Pears, apples....a little honey and maple.

Watch for a sale. Perfect white.

Layer Cake Shiraz

four stars...
big, leggy. chocolatey fruit bargain of a wine.
Even better in 30 minutes.

Klinker Brick Syrah..Lodi 2005

What a lucious little treat I had yesterday with Lovey at the Wine Store in Rivergate. We stopped after a wonderful Reflexology Pedicure...The Wine that I chose was the Klinker Brick Syrah...MMMmmm Mouthwatering good.. This lovely Syrah exhibits a nose of Cotton Candy, French vanilla and hints of orange peel with rich, bright multi-dimensional flavors of cassis, dried cherries and chocolate on the palate. It was only 17.95 a bottle and I adored it..I think you will too..

Two Reds, and a Very Good Inexpensive White Jug!

Hi, I was laying in bed last night after watching the TWO HOUR Brothers and Sisters thinking of more wine, (maybe because the family owns a winery and they are always drinking) that I wanted to tell you all about.

Number 1. Genesis Cabernet Sauvginon 2005 - 12.99
A cool red wine with Licorice and spice topnotes that finishes with the rich cherry and blackberry flavors..I served it with Ribs and a Tossed Butter Lettuce Salad..It was good.

Number 2. Lo Duca Sangiovese Italy - 11.99 A Bright Italian Blend characteristic of the the Sauvignon Grape, almost a Chianti flavor. I served it with a Penne with Vodka Sauce...which I have a wonderful recipe for..

Number 3. Cavit Pinot Grigio Italy ---12.99 for a magnum A elegant and crisp big flavored Pinot..so easy to drink on the tongue and the wallet. It has a crisp pear and honey flavor..I have poured it in so many sauces and stews and also I had a glass in my hand the other night while I was steaming baby green beans and I poured it over the beans...with a tiny pat of butter and sea salt and fresh cracked pepper it was delicous!

Where have we been....Got to keep up the blog

Okay..its been almost a year, since my sister or I have posted any reviews of wine...I have drank alot of wine in this year...some good and some bad..Let me tell you first about three of my favorites.
Number 1. Hess Cabernet 2006- 15.99
A beautiful dark luscious Red Cabernet with tastes of dark fruit, milk chocolate and it finishes with a light polished tannin....I think it is my new favorite.

Number 2. Ghost Pines Cabernet 2006 24.99
This is Louis Martini's Son Louis P. Martini. He started his own branch of the Vineyard and produced this lovely Cabernet..It is blackberry in color and taste with a black pepper oaky flavor that finishes with a rich Dark chocolate...It was my best for about three months this summer but..alas they changed the price..it was 18.99 when I first bought it then,,,it went to 24.99 and now its almost 27.99!! Too Expensive for me!

Number 3. Sterling Cabernet 2006 - 14.99
This is a great wonderful easy drinking wine..It has a dark chocolate toffee flavor with a darkfruit undertone. I will always drink Sterling...It is always good..goes with everything and I always love the flavor...
